We are in a state of emergency. In Summit County alone, 10,000 people are addicted to opioids, and on average, 84 infants are being treated for drug withdrawal in Ohio hospitals and 13 Ohioans die each day due to opiate-related deaths.
Children are the unintended victims of this crises. There are 1,000 more children in foster care and in need of adoption in Summit and Cuyahoga Counties in just the past year. CNN reported in May of 2017 that opioids are creating a generation of parentless children. It is time for the Church to pray, and do all it can to care for and protect precious young lives.
The Mission of Reach-NEO
What You Can Do
Join us in prayer to reach 20,000 lives through awareness, prevention and aftercare addiction education and programs. In the last two years the number of deaths in Ohio’s six largest counties has doubled. We want to move Northeast Ohio from ranking highest in number of lives lost to the ranking highest in the nation for prevention and effective care.
